Fujitsu S1500 Scanner – 20 ppm, Dual Side, Color — WOW!

Fujitsu is planning to release a new scanner that will impress you. In a small business, you have to get a lot done fast. You also need to retain important information and business cards.

Watch this demo of the upcoming Fujitsu S1500 scanner which has to be the best low-priced scanner I’ve seen. It handles 20 pages per minute, both sides, in color, different sizes of paper (just watch the demo) and does it easily.

Then you can add business cards quickly. Watch how it processes my card with English on one side and Russian on the other. It categorizes and files the cards accurately. Nice unit. I wish it weighed less than 6 lbs. but for what it does, you will want to check this out. Watch the short (less than 6 minute) video below and see what I mean.

  1. I’m not sure why the previous reviewer had so much trouble with the character recognition. Perhaps it is a defect in the particular unit he received. In my case, it did a very fine job recognizing the data on a large variety of business cards. Very fast, and easy to use. I did not activate the integration with Outlook, but did set it up to make the Cardscan contact list available in Outlook, and that worked just fine. My only quibble is with the free online backup that they offer: the fine print tells you that they will email everyone on your contact list periodically to encourage them to join up. This sounds like a great way to lose all your friends, so I didn’t do it.

Yes, it has some very good recognition of characters. I’ve seen that. And yes, I’m hesitant to send a message of any kind through email to all my contacts. That is a great way to lose a lot of friend really fast! Better approach? Make an educational video and/or article available to those who chose on their own to get involved. that is the way to do it. Thanx for sharing. Terry

I don’t know which scanner I look for? I am searching to get a desk top scanner for my private business, but can’t appear to find out what to get. I’m looking for something bare and small that I can scan documents and receipts to a PDF document straightaway to my PC. I’ve been told about Fujitsu scansnap scanners, but uncovered that there are more then one example. Again, I’m looking for somthing uncomplicated to read black & white documents and invoices, and bear no intentions on scanning photos or colorful documents. Any suggestion would be greatly comprehended.

This is a good one for you. I use it myself to do just what you said and it works very well. And oh yes, it also does the color so if you need that later, you’re in good shape with this one. for me, the Fujitsu line, and their new 1300, can’t be beat. Terry

  3. I don’t create a bunch of remarks, but after reading a ton of comments on Fujitsu S1500 Scanner – 20 ppm, Dual Side, Color – WOW! | Terry L. Brock. I do have 2 questions for you if you do not mind. Is it only me or does it look like a few of the responses come across like they are coming from brain dead people? 😛 And, if you are writing on other online sites, I would like to keep up with you. Would you make a list of every one of all your social pages like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?
