Life is about balance, the yin and the yang as the Tao Ti Ching has told us. I’m in Maui and wanted to share that with you today thinking about what you’re going through with the good and the bad. This is the ebb and flow of life. In this video I share with you some principles that can help you as you encounter challenges and more.
Enjoy the video as I enjoy some time here in Hawaii for a big presentation I’m about to give. I look forward to your comments here on the Blog so you can share with others and let them know what you think.
Aloha and Mahalo from Hawaii!

Thanx for the note, Jeff. Yes, after 24 hours waiting (and waiting….) Delta finally delivered the lost luggage. I had to buy new clothes for the event as I had many other things in carry on I had to have. That ole “Be Prepared” is always with us! Thanx for your kind words. Terry
Terry, ever get reunited with your luggage?
I really like what you do to use social media & social networking to market yourself.
Take care, jeff
Thank you, Bob. Yes, I’ve found that Xacti to be a great camcorder. I use it regular (as you see here on my Blog). I wish you much continued success as you embark on your speaking career.
Yes, I read about that in the news, Donna. Congrats on your new Prime Minister. Hope that she helps Australia to continue to improve economically and gives more liberty and freedom to all those wonderful people in Aussie-land. Very nice to hear from you and I’m personally sending you some of the warmth and heat from Florida to chilly Melbourne! Enjoy!
Great reminder on systems, Terry. Do you have tow of everything like toothbrushes and electrical leads etc so you can have a travel bag ready for trips?
Hi Terry!
You’re right – Great place, beautiful weather! You help keep it all in perspective.
I took your advice from the NSA/GLAC meeting and bought a 1010 camera and a sound system. Can’t wait to get home and play with them. I’m speaking on Oahu this week, writing from my balcony on the top floor of the Ala Moana.
I’ll tell you my good/bad story next time we meet.
I appreciate you, Terry!
Aloha
Bob
Hey Terry,
Shame I cannot write in green ink here!!!
It is cold, windy & rainy here in Melbourne Australia
Not only do we have cold weather but yesterday we got a new Prime Minister and our first Female one at that…what a monumental time to be an Aussie.
Great advice from you as always….in Australia our Financial Year ends on 30 June so on this side of the world it is a time of review and reflection in business and planning for the next business year ahead.
Enjoy your Northern Hemisphere Summer!!
Donna
Terry,
Hope it is a bit better than the 90++ F and 85-90+ humidity at this end. It is nice to be in comfortable weather, clothing and doing what you like. But you did hit the points that when you travel you have to be flexible, expect some snags, and react accordingly.
As you stated systems can save your life, even if those are just planning as to where you can tap resources for those “missing” items. I try to keep all the key items as carry-ons, and also look to see where the nearest FedEx Office, Staples, Office Depot and other key support locations may be, just in case. It makes for a saner day when these hiccups happen that you have that knowledge close so the “disaster” can be accomodated in maybe an hour or less.
Thanks for reminding us, and I am going to tweak that list this weekend.
You are too funny! I guess it is still about that balance thing, huh???
Thanx for the comments, Michael!
Thank you, Leon. Yes, systems are really the essence of successful living. Thank you for your comments. Terry
I enjoyed hearing your comments about balance….a difficult thing to achieve, especially for the small business owner, but a necessity in order to enjoy the benefits of the labor invested each day.
Also, your comments about good systems hit home. Systems that are in place do help to make unexpected negative events have a better outcome. We recently were able to use them to make a customer feel positive about our service, after an oversight in the office caused some distress.
Your comments are refreshing. Thank you!
Leon
Hey Terry,
I am having mixed feelings – do I feel sorry for you and the luggage or shall I just feel envious about you being where you are…mmmmm….difficult.
Great advice though about systems and rolling with life.
Looking forward to hearing more about your experiences in that great part of the world
Speak to you soon buddy
Michael
