Business-Building Action from Terry Brock
Success today is driven by connections. These connections come in many ways. You want to connect with prospects and customers on a regular basis. One of the best ways to connect is to provide compelling content that solves a problem for others.
Successful business leaders have known for a long time that success is much more about solving problems that others have rather than talking about your product. The more you can help others solving their problems, the more likely they are to do business with you.
One of the best tools today for accumulating, managing, and distributing information is a content management system (CMS). One that I use regularly is called WordPress. It is a very popular tool for sending out text, video, audio, pictures, and other information that will be of value to your target market.
There are two key reasons why you want to have a strong CMS in your arsenal of tools. One is to build sales and another is for training purposes (which can also help increase sales).
Build sales. This is the bottom line reason why you do anything and business. If it isn’t building sales or increasing your productivity, why are you doing it in business? A useful CMS gives you the ability to manage information in a wonderful way. This will generate sales.
Enhance Training. A well-designed CMS can help enhance training for your people now and into the future. As questions come up about how to use certain operations, you can refer those questions to videos Or Posts that you created earlier. You can also use your CMS to train customers on how to use certain features in your products and services. This saves you money and makes it easier for them to access valuable content on-demand. This also positions you and your company as leaders in a fast-changing world. You become the source of valuable, industry-specific information that is not available elsewhere.
A tool we have been using for many years for our content management Is the popular platform WordPress. I have been very pleased with the ease-of-use and the continued enhancement of this open source software. I regularly use this Tool to help clients master key areas that help them increase their own profitability. I often create a private, closed training site for clients which is not available elsewhere.
One of the best features that we use is the free editorial calendar that is a plug-in for WordPress. It gives us the ability to create material and schedule it for release at a future date. It also is a great way to look back over what we have done and see what is and isn’t working. This free plug-in is the WordPress Editorial Calendar by Stresslimit and Zack Grossbart.
Get the training and help you need to use these free and highly profitable products. A strong CMS can help you gain a competitive advantage in today’s fast-changing and hotly-competitive marketplace.
All the best,
Terry
