I’m visiting Atlanta this week having a great time with some wonderful meetings, seeing great people and experiencing some wonderful surprises.
One of those surprises came yesterday when I walked into my “third place” (Starbucks, of course) to grab my green tea frappuchino (love those drinks!) and I heard someone behind me calling, “Terry Brock, Terry Brock.” Hoping that it was not the police this time 🙂 , I turned around and saw Internet guru, Corey Perlman. Corey spoke on the program with me in Denver, Colorado, recently for the Colorado Chapter of the National Speakers Association.
Corey asked, “What are you doing in MY Starbucks?” I had to smile and chuckle and say to Corey, “This is also MY Starbucks!” We both love getting serious business and work done from anywhere we can, and Starbucks is fabulous for that.
Well, being the great guy he is, I had to sit down and talk with Corey. What a wonderful, kind and extremely knowledgable guy he is! We talked about what is happening with social media, what is working and more. Then he had a business call to take, so we separated to work on our respective tasks. After a few minutes, after I had answered the pressing email, Facebook messages and other social media streams of the moment, I saw that Corey had finished his call and was working on some other things on his MacBook Pro (we both love our MacBook Pros!). Then it hit me that I should take advantage of this situation and interview Corey about what is working today in social media.
You are going to love this! I quickly put together my recording equipment using my iPhone 5 and my Shure 58 microphone and asked Corey if he would be so kind to give me an interview. WOW! He now only graciously accepted my offer, but gave some powerful information about using content for marketing that every thought leader can use.
If you are a speaker, a coach, a consultant, an author, blogger or anyone who shares thoughts with others, you owe it to yourself to take a few moments to listen to what Corey Perlman of eBoot Camp has to say. Listen to what he says about developing your content and then how to repurpose this. You’re sure to get some ideas that can help you generate more business.
Let us know what you think. Send us a Tweet or quick Facebook message. And be sure to check out what Corey and his team are doing for businesses like yours that can help.
Enjoy the interview!
