Ever since I was a kid in seventh grade, I was interested in memory. I remember visiting my grandmother and grandfather and going into my grandfathers study to see some of his books. One of the books he had was called The Memory Book by Jerry Lucas and Harry Lorayne. What I didn’t know was a little child was that the memory book was one of the all-time best and most famous books on how to remember and develop your memory.
I remember learning about their peg memory system and more. I use those techniques as I went through high school undergraduate school and even in grad school. In fact, I still use them today and enjoy them a lot.
With my interest in memory, you’ll see why was so excited to be able to have an interview with our guest this episode. Bob Gray is a memory expert-based just outside Toronto Ontario in Canada. I was able to have a conversation with him over Google+ Hangout we talked about memory particularly in the age of Google search. Bob was not only brilliant and witty and funny and charming but provided an enormous amount of good content that you are going to absolutely love!
What are the key areas we discussing this interview is a common concern people express about developing a memory today. When people feel they no longer need to exercise their memory in an age of Google search when you can find information so quickly. Bob and I discussed this system and why you absolutely need to know about developing your memory between your ears as much as the memory on your computer.
