Many are using digital currencies like Bitcoin, Dash, Ethereum, and others to process financial transactions faster and at much lower transaction fees. This is a revolutionary way of connecting artists and content creators with their fans and customers.
Musicians, song writers, in other developers of content have long struggled with ways to connect with their audiences better and avoid losing all of their profits to middlemen.
It has long been the case of producers getting very little for producing their content and struggling to connect with their true fans.
The world is different today. Now artists are able to use channels like YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook and others to go directly to their fans.
The concept is what has happened throughout history as technology erases or minimizes the need for someone in the middle of a transaction. If you are the producer or the consumer, this is a welcome development. If you’re in the middle, you either will be forced out, or must come up with unique and renewed value propositions.
Building a community online
Recently I had the opportunity to talk with a singer, composer, and strong advocate for digital currencies. Her name is Tatiana Moroz, and she is an international singer and songwriter.
In this interview she shared about what is happening for artists with digital currencies like Bitcoin to give more power and connection between the producer and consumer of songs and other content.
She also shared how she is creating her albums and then promoting them online to build her community. She said musicians are using financial tools like Bitcoin to increase the speed of transactions and reduce transaction costs. By leveraging these technologies, struggling musicians might not have to struggle as much.
If you are a musician or other creator of content, this interview can help you realize new ways to create more value for your fans and audiences, while increasing the net profit to you. You can see the full interview below.
