Everything (strong word) that is done in life is based on one of two premises.
One is that it is done by persuading others to peacefully go along with you.
This is at the heart of “Live and Let Live.” You don’t hurt others, you don’t take their stuff.
The other is Coercion.
Someone uses violence or the threat of violence to get what they want.
