One of the most powerful skills you can build as a marketer and salesperson is to be able to set your ideas effectively and persuasively to others. If you can do this, your career will be turbocharged.

On the other hand, if you have difficulties with presenting it will be a strong impediment to your career and success. In today’s hyper-competitive world, you need to be able to effectively communicate your ideas verbally and through tools like PowerPoint, Keynote and others. It is vital to be able to present through verbal communication in a stand-up presentation as well as through technology.

Often I have young people asking me what they should study in college to succeed in tomorrow’s world. They expect me to say something like studying computers and technology or studying business. These are excellent fields to pursue. I studied them regularly myself. However, one of the most important skills you can acquire is the ability to present your ideas effectively and persuasively to others. That is far more important than any grasp of a specific technology.

Business presentationTechnology is going to be part of your future and mine for the rest of our lives. Yes you need to understand technology and the business climate. However, those who have a strong grasp of people knowledge and know how to communicate in a variety of different ways, are the ones who rise to the top and succeed.

Because this is so important for your future success, I decided to tap into a good friend of mine who is an expert on crafting and designing presentations.
