Today I was thinking about life and the challenges we all face. Sometimes it is best to take the easy route and make it work. Hey, that is smart when you want to achieve a given goal quickly and easily.
Other times you might want to consider a longer, more arduous way to do it because it will give better results in the long term.
Each situation is different and you have to decide what is best for you. But how do you decide which is best?
You should always choose the option that helps to make you a better person. Which of the choices available will help you to become that better person you want to be? If one choice will require more work, but give you more wisdom, learning and growth-enabling development, that could be the better option.
Think about how you have become better. Often it happens when we have to forge new character traits and new skills. The “hard” road might just be the best road for you in the long term. Don’t settle for what is “easy” right now to the detriment of a long-term, better solution. Always go for what makes you more into the person you ideally want to be in the long run.
In other words, don’t just take the natural inclination without thinking. Think about what is going to help you become more of the person you want to be. This is the way you grow and become a better person.
