Winston Churchill was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during World War II.
He gave inspiration and courage to people that were facing their demise. Many content that he was largely responsible for saving the British Empire from defeat at the hands of Nazi Germany.
In this struggle of life, he developed a philosophy that can help us today.
I love his quote about success & failure:
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts.”
We need to remember that in our own lives.
We are not facing extermination in most cases. However, we encounter challenges that hold us back. We have successes also and these, oddly enough, can also hold us back.
How is that, you ask. Well, if we have success sometimes we can think we’ve got it made and can now relax.
This is a mistake
It’s a big mistake.
Remember that success is not final, as Churchill told us, We have to win it every day. Each day is new. What you did yesterday doesn’t matter. What does matter is the value you can bring to the world today.
The same principle applies to failure. It is not fatal, as Churchill shared.
Failure is more of a learning experience. Learn from those setbacks and disappointments. Learn what you can do to correct bad behaviors, actions and even relationships.
Make it your goal to be a continual learner. Discover what can be done to make your life and the lives of those you impact better.
The key is to continue.
Yes, you’re going to have set-backs, failures, disappointments, and hardship.
Welcome to Planet Earth! It works that way here.
However, if you continue to improve, correct, and learn for past failures, you will succeed.
Be willing to pay the price in terms of time, money, and energy. This is the key.
Thank you for visiting, I greatly appreciate you taking time to come back and visit. Please share this with your community so others can benefit from it.
