Moving from “Would” to “Am” For Success

Sabre-Toothed Tiger - Taking Action has been important for a long, long, time

Business-Building Action from Terry Brock

We have to go way beyond just having the idea. Many people talk about what they “would” do if conditions were just right. However, life pays for results that are produced. When you produce value for others (as they determine it is valuable), you get paid in a variety of ways.

Many people justify their setbacks on some external force. However, that doesn’t matter. Sure it is tough. Hey, welcome to my planet! It has been that way for only… let me think about it here… FOREVER! Ever since one caveman knocked the other in the head to steal his saber-toothed tiger, people have been fighting each other. It will continue long after you and I leave the planet.

The key point is to take action now. Make it happen. Stop complaining and saying what you “would” do if things were just peachy-keen. Well, they aren’t that way and never will be. Achievers in life and business grab the bull by the horns and make success happen.

Replace “would” with “am” in your life. Instead of talking about what you “would” do if conditions were perfect, start talking about what you are doing now. “I am achieving results” is much more powerful that what you would do.

Even better — impress us with what you have “done.” Moving from “would” to “am” and continuing right on through to “done” is what makes successful people successful.

What do you think?  How do you move from just a good idea to implementing it and taking action?  How do you get over the inertia of staying still when you know you should make something positive happen?  I look forward to your comments.
